Job Summary:

The Skid Steer Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the installation of mechanical structures on large-scale solar farms.

This position involves transporting and positioning structural components, including steel posts, racking systems, and solar panels, across the construction site in accordance with project requirements and safety protocols.

  • Operate skid steer to lift, move, and place structural components.
  • Assist the mechanical installation crew by staging and distributing materials to designated installation areas.
  • Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance of the skid steer.
  • Adhere to site safety procedures, traffic management plans, and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Support general site duties as required, including ground crew tasks when not operating machinery.

Report mechanical faults, safety hazards, and incidents to the Site Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • White Card (Construction Induction Card) & Skid Steer Ticket
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating telehandlers on civil or solar projects.
  • Strong understanding of load handling, lifting operations, and machine limits.
  • Ability to work in remote locations and outdoor environments.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and productivity.
