Strategic Communication Specialist

This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 November 2026. We are seeking a skilled Senior Advisor, Briefings & Correspondence to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, timely, and accurate ministerial briefings, correspondence, and information.
The successful candidate will lead a small, high-performing team, guiding and mentoring staff to ensure ministerial products are prepared to the highest standard, reinforcing the department's reputation for excellence.
The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader who excels at navigating complex political and organisational landscapes, with a proven ability to influence through both formal and informal channels.
- Provides effective leadership, people management, and supports the development of capability across the team.
- Supervises team outputs and assists in the allocation and prioritisation of work to ensure delivery against deadlines and quality standards.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external business areas, and prioritises understanding stakeholder issues.
- Drafts, edits, and reviews policy and process documents, briefs, correspondence, and other written materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, policy alignment, and compliance.
