We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our team at Western Private Hospital. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable, providing secondary support to the broader Finance team, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Process accounts payable invoices in Business Central 365 finance system, ensuring invoices are coded to the correct general ledger account and approved according to delegation policies and procedures.
- Set up new creditor details and process weekly and ad hoc payment runs, ensuring payment terms are met.
- Distribute remittance advices and reconcile creditor and bank statements.
- Process accounts receivable invoices and follow up on outstanding debtors.
- Monitor accounts payable emails and respond to queries.
- Perform scanning, filing, and archiving tasks, as well as other administrative and banking duties.
- Assist with month-end processes, including bank, credit card, and GL reconciliations, calculation of BAS, and collation and analysis of data for budgeting and other ad hoc reporting and queries.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to help and encourage positive team spirit and attitude. You will have a strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and at least 3 years' experience processing and reporting of accounts transactions using accounting software for medium to large-sized businesses.
You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and have intermediate to advanced skills in using Excel spreadsheets, including pivot tables and v-lookups. You will also have a certificate or diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a similar field.
