We are assisting one of our longest standing clients, a national underwriting agency with strengths in Professional Indemnity and General Liability, in their search for an Assistant Underwriter.

Job Summary

$70,000 - $90,000 per annum + Super + Bonuses

The successful candidate will support the Underwriting team with efficient administration support. This includes sending out renewal invitations to brokers, processing new policies and policy renewals in the underwriter system, and maintaining broker information and log ins to online systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Send renewal invitations to brokers
  • Process new policies and policy renewals in underwriter system
  • Maintain broker information and log ins to online systems
  • Follow up outstanding and upcoming renewals and new business
  • Answer phone calls and take messages
  • Perform general administration and office duties as required

Requirements

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong sense of accountability
  • Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in a busy, high volume environment
  • Experience in underwriting in professional indemnity ideal, other classes considered
  • Strong experience in administration would be an advantage
