Onboarding Specialist

Job Overview:

  • Ensure efficient onboarding of customers across business divisions in accordance with Group policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough customer due diligence (CDD) and know your customer (KYC) checks in line with local regulatory requirements.
  2. Verify client documentation, including initiation of agreements, in accordance with local regulations.
  3. Categorize customers based on risk assessment criteria.
  4. Meet daily targets set by the Onboarding Manager.
  5. Manage the onboarding pipeline by allocating tasks and updating records accurately.
  6. Maintain accurate data in the Client Data Base.
  7. Document all customer interactions and maintain complete records.
  8. Provide regular updates to the Front-Office, Co-ordination Team, and Quality Control Teams.
  9. Process Business Head approval requests in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  10. Participate in weekly prioritization calls and ad-hoc reviews/projects/audits as needed.
  11. Address day-to-day queries efficiently.
  12. Collaborate closely with the Financial Crime team to ensure regulatory compliance.
  13. Notify management promptly of any issues or developments.
  14. Ensure adherence to company's operational risk framework and regulatory parameters.
  15. Embody highest standards of integrity and conduct, reflecting Company Values.
  16. Comply with internal policies and report breaches to Compliance or manager as required.
  17. Escalate risk events immediately and contribute to risk management processes as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with self-efficient approach and positive work environment influence.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with high volumes.
  • Experience in client onboarding and anti-financial crimes related regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Proficiency in back-office systems and experience with World Check are desired.
