Logistics Operations Team Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Shift Manager to join our team at Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining customer expectations by ensuring that customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location. You will be an inspiring leader in one of our Delivery Stations, working to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible.
You will work closely with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives. Key job responsibilities include supporting, mentoring, and motivating hourly workforce, maintaining Health and Safety standards, collaborating with support teams, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching varying weights, and standing and walking for up to 10 hours during shifts.
A Day in the LifeAs an Operations Shift Manager, you will be responsible for training and integrating your team to progressively improve progress. The role is rewarding and impactful, as you strive for excellence together with the team you supervise. You will exercise sound judgement, making sure progress and targets are realistic and achievable.
About the TeamOur World-Wide Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. Our Operation's workflow has three major components: First mile - where the product is housed and ready for order; Middle mile - where the order is hauled to your area; and Last mile - when the product is delivered to the customer's door.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
- 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
