About the Opportunity

A forward-thinking and experienced Art Director is required to join our talented Marketing team at Armadillo. Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, you will be at the forefront of our creative team, driving and executing the visual direction of multi-channel design projects and campaigns (Digital & Print). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing concept and campaign ideas with the marketing team.
  • Responsible for graphic design across marketing communications, including advertising, EDMs, digital assets for advertising and social, website, printed collateral, press releases and event support material.
  • Preparing print ready files and overseeing the quality of print runs, including proof reading, print proof approval and press checks.
  • Optimising artwork for digital applications, including photo editing, retouching and curation.
  • Preparing artwork for ad hoc marketing projects (e.g. event collateral, carbon reports for BCorp purposes, etc).
  • Managing visual libraries including but not limited to Sharepoint, Dropbox and Vimeo, and being responsible for regular back-ups.
  • Providing content updates and design recommendations for the website.
  • Developing digital animations and exploring new technologies and applications for use to promote Armadillo products.
  • Gathering production quotes for print collateral and other marketing collateral and negotiating best price + optimum quality.
  • Ensuring production of marketing collateral runs on time and on budget.
  • Management of print production with suppliers.
  • Management and oversight of the Content Creator's outputs.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Art Director who has a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in graphic design, art director or content producer positions. Ideally you will have experience in a similar or related industry. You will be experienced in producing engaging content across various social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube) and have experience using After Effects, Premiere Pro, CapCut, Photoshop and Illustrator. You will have a love for interior design, architecture, graphic design, photography and video and be an exceptional team player, able to accept and take feedback on board while maintaining a positive growth mindset. You will have a good understanding of branding and working with brand style guides and a strong knowledge of typography, the fundamentals of design, and best design and typography practices. You will be able to take initiative in managing your own workload, prioritising multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment without compromising on quality or attention to detail. You will have the ability to identify the latest trends and viral moments, and jump on these opportunities as soon as they arise. You will have a strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices to help drive engagement. You will have excellent writing and editing skills.
