We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled leader to join our team as Deputy Chief Executive, Department for Child Protection. As a key member of our executive leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our child protection services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of child protection policies and strategies
  • Oversee the management of regional and metropolitan service hubs, residential care facilities, and central corporate functions
  • Collaborate with government, non-government organisations, and other key stakeholders to drive service delivery reforms and improve outcomes for children
  • Develop and implement effective management of strategic and operational policies in a high-risk environment
Requirements
  • Extensive senior leadership experience within the public sector, with a proven track record of driving successful system and service delivery reforms
  • Strategic leadership skills to manage complex and high-stakes environments effectively
  • Deep understanding of child protection issues and services within South Australia, with a commitment to improving outcomes for children, particularly Aboriginal children, and young people
  • Proven ability to lead and influence change, fostering strong relationships with government, non-government organisations, and other key stakeholders
