About the Role

Barnardos Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead the Kinship Care Program in Bruce, ACT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of services delivered by team members, providing support and mentoring to staff, and managing program budgets effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality of services delivered by team members, with a strong focus on client-centred, effective case planning and management.
  • Provide support, mentoring and coaching to all members of the team.
  • Manage program budgets effectively and provide management reports as required.
  • Ensure all team members receive regular required supervision.
  • Promote a clear understanding of the standards and values guiding Barnardos Australia's operations.
  • Lead regular team meetings.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with relevant tertiary degree-level qualifications in the provision of protective support and service delivery to children and young people and their families. You will have demonstrated capacity to provide advice on complex case management matters/issues and to coach others who also provide such advice.

You will have considerable knowledge of social, economic, health and cultural factors affecting client and family situations, as well as working knowledge of relevant child protection and related legislation.

We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated experience of and capacity to provide leadership, direction, supervision and support to staff who are providing complex case management for children and young people who are in foster or kin care.
