We seek an experienced Payroll Clerk / Officer to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in high-volume payroll processing and work under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
About the role :
As the Payroll Clerk, you will be part of a small team, responsible for managing the weekly payroll for nearly 1000 staff. Your duties will include processing payroll for wage employees, handling labour hire information, and utilizing our specific payroll software. Your key responsibilities will be :
- Assisting with payroll processing;
- Handling electronic and paper-based leave forms and allowances;
- Interpreting awards and agreements to ensure correct payments;
- Managing payroll tax and superannuation; and
- Ensuring compliance with Workcover policies and legislation.
About you :
To succeed in this role, you should have experience managing payroll processes. We welcome applications from candidates from any business size, as the core principles remain consistent. Ideally, you will have strong computer skills, including experience with payroll systems, and excellent interpersonal skills to handle queries and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
