We are seeking a skilled Recovery Coach to join our team.

The Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest AOD service providers, supporting people through withdrawal, rehabilitation, harm reduction, and community-based programs. Our services offer more than just support - we provide a safe space for individuals to be heard, to heal, and to hope.

About The Role
  • You will work with clients impacted by addiction, providing counselling and case management to help them rebuild their lives and take their next steps forward.
  • Create a supportive environment where participants feel heard and understood.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments using evidence-based tools to identify client needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Offer one-on-one support through crisis intervention and case management to empower clients in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Collaborate with housing, justice, mental health, and other service providers to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Support clients as they transition out of services, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree qualification in social work, psychology, counselling, or related field (Desirable).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in complex case management and outreach support services.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those affected by addiction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
