
Recovery-Focused Care Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our team in delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care. This role is ideal for someone who has lived experience and is committed to promoting an inclusive and affirming culture.
The successful candidate will utilize their expertise to support the delivery of services that best meet the needs of the community, working closely with the team to integrate lived experience into their work.
About the RoleThis position acts as a front door to the mental health service system, providing a continuum of care and support. As a Team Leader, you will champion the voice of lived experience, advocate for human rights, and provide an alternative to traditional mental health responses.
You will be responsible for supporting the development of a consistent narrative on the value of lived experience across quality, values, and service outcomes, while also leading the delivery of services to people as defined in the Local Service Model.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize your lived expertise to promote an inclusive, affirming, and destigmatizing culture that values lived experience and active inclusion of service users, carers, and families.
- Work informed by Mind's Lived Experience Strategy, Peer Work Framework, and Model of Peer Work to guide your work.
- Support the development of a consistent narrative on the value of Lived Experience to the service across quality, values, and service outcomes.
- Lead delivery of services to people as defined in the Locals Service Model.
- Support, coach, and mentor staff to think deeply, develop creative solutions, and remain motivated in meeting people's needs and preferences.
- Provide practice supervision/line management to staff who are providing direct support to service users.
- Completion of Intentional Peer Support Core and/or Advanced training.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Peer Work, Alcohol and Other Drugs or other health-related field.
- Experience as a peer worker or holding a designated lived experience role.
- Proven experience in leadership and capability to coach, mentor, and develop a team to achieve the provision of service that best supports the needs of the community.
