Role Overview

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service is seeking a skilled professional to deliver high-quality mental health assessments, interventions, and outcomes for consumers and their communities.

This new role offers the opportunity to work across various existing programs, providing comprehensive psychological services for children and adolescents with significant mental health challenges.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, undertaking evidence-based assessments and developing treatment options in consultation with consumers and their care teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments of children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other mental health professionals
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including consumers and their care teams, to ensure effective communication and coordination of care

Requirements:

  • Two years post-registration supervised experience in a clinical area directly applicable to Child and Youth Mental Health Services
  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and skill in contemporary psychological practice with children and adolescents
  • High level interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
