Psychologist - CYMHS Neurodevelopmental Specialist

Job Description:

As a Psychologist with Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS), you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality mental health services to clients and their families.

Working within our multidisciplinary team, you will undertake various evidence-based assessments across multiple CYMHS program areas, developing and delivering appropriate treatment options.

You will work closely with stakeholders, including consumers and care teams, to understand presenting issues and develop effective interventions.

The successful candidate will be highly skilled in providing assessment and case management to children and adolescents with significant mental health challenges.

You will be an expert in contemporary psychological practice with children and adolescents, including evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions.

High level interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are essential for this role, as you will be liaising effectively with other services and agencies in the context of providing specialized psychological mental health assessment, advice, and training.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Area of Practice Endorsement (Clinical Psychology)
  • Current Working with Children Registration
