Lead Child Psychiatrist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Child Psychiatrist to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior professional to lead the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents experiencing behavioural, emotional, and mental health-related issues.

This dynamic role requires a deep understanding of child and adolescent mental health services, including experience working with expectant mothers, infants, children, and young people. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-quality patient-centred care and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for children and adolescents.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, general practitioners, and specialists to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Contribute to supervision and mentoring of psychiatric registrars and other medical staff.

About This Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating young people aged 12 to 24, including those engaged with intensive outreach services. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care and a passion for working with children and adolescents.

  1. Deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for young people aged 12 to 24.
  2. Collaborate with other mental health professionals and general practitioners to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  3. Contribute to supervision and mentoring of psychiatric registrars and other medical staff.
