Neurodevelopmental Specialist

The Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a skilled Neurodevelopmental Assessment and Management Psychologist to join our Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) team.
About the Job- Provide high-quality psychological services, including evidence-based Neurodevelopmental assessments and therapeutic interventions to CYHMS clients and their families based in Hobart, Tasmania.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including consumers and their care teams, to understand presenting issues and develop and deliver appropriate treatment options.
- Work closely with other mental health professionals, service providers, or other partners on research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
- Conduct thorough assessment and case management for children and adolescents with significant mental health challenges.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each client.
- Promote collaborative practice with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and family members to enhance client outcomes.
- Two years post-registration supervised experience in a clinical area directly applicable to Child and Youth Mental Health Services.
- Demonstrated expertise in providing assessment and case management services to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
- Advanced knowledge of contemporary psychological practices, including evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions.
- A competitive salary range of $110,425 to $121,907 per annum.
