Human Resources Manager Job Description

We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead our people strategy, elevate the employee experience, and support sustainable growth across Australia & New Zealand.

About the Role

As the Human Resources Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our HR strategy across Australia and New Zealand. You'll lead a capable HR team and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, championing a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the Australian HR team to foster a high-performance culture.
  • HR Strategy: Provide strategic guidance across key HR programs, including performance management, compensation, reward, talent planning, employee engagement, and change management.
  • Payroll Operations: Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for both Australia and New Zealand, ensuring full compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with business leaders to enhance the employee experience and streamline HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse workforce data to inform decisions and align people priorities with business goals.
  • Capability Building: Identify current and future capability needs, developing strategies to close gaps and support organisational success.
  • Policy Alignment: Ensure HR systems, policies, and processes are aligned with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Change Management: Support leaders in navigating change, applying proven change management techniques.

What We're Looking For

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Extensive HR leadership experience, ideally in a fast-paced, complex organisation.
  • Strong experience in managing or overseeing payroll operations in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Exceptional ability to coach, advise, and influence senior leaders and teams.
  • Proven success in leading HR teams and delivering organisational change initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of Australian employment laws, compliance standards, and key industry bodies.
  • Proficiency in leveraging HR technology to streamline processes and enhance operations.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and evolving business needs.
