Information Governance Analyst Role

This is a key position in the organization, responsible for ensuring proper governance, accessibility, and compliance of information assets.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Information Management professional to play a crucial role in supporting governance, compliance, and operational excellence across information and data management functions.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure information assets are properly governed, accessible, and compliant with legislative and organisational requirements.

  • Support information management assessments, registers, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with records sentencing, retention, and disposal activities.
  • Contribute to the development of information governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain information registers and ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data.
  • Support compliance reporting aligned to frameworks such as PSPF and National Archives requirements.
  • Assist with the delivery of information governance projects and training initiatives.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in information management, records management, or information governance.
  • Familiarity with Australian federal government information management requirements (desirable).
  • Knowledge of records disposal and retention processes, compliance, and policy frameworks.
  • Experience with Enterprise Content Management systems (e.g., TRIM, Objective, Content Manager, SharePoint).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across business units.
