Job Opportunity: Compliance Specialist in Data Governance

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team, focusing on data governance and compliance. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of privacy and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the effective operation and development of the privacy compliance framework across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Advise the business on reporting, investigation, and remediation of identified privacy risks and issues.
  • Conduct impact analysis on changes to privacy-related regulatory requirements to identify gaps and consider potential mitigating controls.
  • Maintain and improve local processes, tools, and templates to support day-to-day privacy compliance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand Privacy regulation and privacy risk management practices.
  • Experience working in an advisory, assurance, or audit role, with at least 2 years in the field of privacy or regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build partnerships across the business and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong personal organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
