About North East Link
The North East Link Project is a major infrastructure project in Melbourne, Victoria, that aims to improve the city's freeway network by closing the missing link between the M80 Ring Road and the Eastern Freeway. The project will deliver twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our TBM Tunnels team. The successful candidate will support and drive HSE culture on site, providing support and coordination of safety and environmental practices, systems, and procedures on the project.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes to provide a safe working environment for all personnel
- Conduct health and safety audits and inspections as per audit schedules and risk profile of the works
- Support the delivery team and ensure compliance to project construction documentation processes
- Undertake regular safety monitoring activities, ensuring compliance to safety management systems, contractor agreements, and contracts
Requirements
- Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years in a Safety role in high-risk construction
- Previous experience working with a tier 1 or 2 in tunneling and/or mining will be highly desirable
- Extensive experience of workplace and contractor safety management processes within complex environments
- Well-developed understanding in the interpretation of Occupational Health and Safety legislation
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading incident investigations
