About North East Link
The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project, a major infrastructure development in Victoria.
The project involves the construction of twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges, which will close the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway.
The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership, providing a safe and efficient transportation solution for the community.
About the Opportunity
Cimic is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our TBM Tunnels team. The successful candidate will support and drive HSE culture on site, providing coordination of safety and environmental practices, systems, and procedures on the project.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career on a major infrastructure project and contribute to the delivery of a world-class transportation system.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes to provide a safe working environment for all personnel
- Conduct health and safety audits and inspections as per audit schedules and risk profile of the works
- Support the delivery team and ensure compliance to project construction documentation processes
- Undertake regular safety monitoring activities, ensuring compliance to safety management systems, contractor agreements, and contracts
Requirements
- Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years in a Safety role in high-risk construction
- Previous experience working with a tier 1 or 2 in tunneling and or mining will be highly desirable
- Extensive experience of workplace and contractor safety management processes within complex environments
- Well-developed understanding in the interpretation of Occupational Health and Safety legislation
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading incident investigations
