About North East Link
The North East Link Central Package is a significant infrastructure project in Melbourne, Victoria, that requires a dedicated Safety Advisor to support and drive HSE culture on site.
This role will be accountable for developing processes, implementing, and monitoring programs to provide a safe working environment for all personnel, conducting health and safety audits and inspections, and supporting delivery teams to ensure compliance with project construction documentation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety management systems and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
- Provide specialist advice and support to delivery teams to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Monitor and report on safety performance and implement corrective actions as necessary
Requirements:
- Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years in a Safety role in high-risk construction
- Previous experience working with a tier 1 or 2 in tunneling and or mining will be highly desirable but not essential
- Extensive experience of workplace and contractor safety management processes within complex environments
- Well-developed understanding in the interpretation of Occupational Health and Safety legislation
