About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of tunnel ventilation systems for the Central Package of the North East Link Project. This is a senior delivery role that focuses on overseeing the integration of tunnel ventilation systems into the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic planning, execution, commissioning, and oversight of tunnel ventilation systems, ensuring alignment with overall objectives and deadlines.
  • Effectively lead a diverse delivery team of technical and site resources, fostering a high-performance culture that is inclusive and collaborative.
  • Direct all phases of the TVS from delivery through to commissioning and successful handover.
  • Effectively manage all financial, commercial, quality, compliance, and schedule aspects of the TVS.
  • Actively adopt and foster digital delivery methods being implemented by the project.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operational teams to integrate TVS systems seamlessly into project infrastructure.
  • Effectively manage vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality materials and services within budgetary and time constraints.
  • Uphold stringent compliance with relevant project standards, plans, and best practices.
  • Continuously assess system performance, advocating for and implementing improvements to meet evolving safety standards and project needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing TVS, including a proven track record in large-scale project delivery.
  • Deep understanding of relevant Australian Standards and best practices pertaining to tunnel and smoke management systems.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a history of leading multidisciplinary teams to success.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • A problem-solver mindset with a proven ability to innovate and enhance system designs and processes.
