About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Director to lead our strategy development efforts in the Asia Pacific region. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in identifying growth drivers and challenges across our diverse portfolio of businesses in the APJ region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategy Development: Facilitate organic and inorganic strategy development across Thermo Fisher's businesses in the APJ region, considering equivalent experience as a valuable asset.
  2. Market Analysis: Lead competitive and market analysis, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
  3. Project Management: Project manage and lead 'special projects' advancing strategic priorities, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  4. Executive Support: Develop materials for executive-level forums, such as Board of Directors meetings, to ensure informed decision-making.
  5. Trend Identification: Identify industry trends and evaluate white space opportunities to drive business innovation.
  6. Commercial Excellence: Implement commercial excellence roadmap, supporting project teams to drive business growth.
Requirements
  1. Commercial Strategy Experience: Commercial strategy experience within the life science industry, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitor analysis.
  2. Education: Master's degree in business, life sciences, or related field.
  3. Experience: 10-15 years of relevant professional experience, including strategy and market/financial analysis.
  4. Skills: Excellent critical thinking, project management, and communication skills, with a high level of intellectual curiosity and ability to work with details and the big picture.
  5. Collaboration: Strong collaborative and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
