Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Client Services team based in the Brisbane CBD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for cultivating long-term relationships with clients, overseeing minor projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality electrical and communication services.

This role involves managing multiple client accounts simultaneously, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of professionalism. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proven track record in sales or account management, and experience in job estimating and quoting.

In this role, you will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and provide tailored solutions to meet client needs. You will also be responsible for preparing regular reports on account status and performance, identifying opportunities for growth, and generating new business within existing accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSEQ standards to maintain safety and compliance on all project sites.
  • Responsible for managing financial reports and overseeing monthly client invoicing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and generate new business within existing accounts.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams to maximize efficiency and performance.
  • Understand client needs and objectives and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on account status and performance.
  • Estimate and tender on project work, ensuring competitive and accurate proposals.
  • Resolve client issues and handle complaints in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years post-trade electrical experience.
  • Certificate IV in Project Management or Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
  • Current Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
  • Cablers License (preferred).
  • CPR & LV Rescue Certificate.
  • Construction Industry General Safety Induction.
  • Current Manual Drivers Licence.
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative, or similar role.
  • Previous experience in job estimating and quoting.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook) and simPRO (a plus).
