Claims Specialist - Workers Compensation

We're seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to manage a portfolio of Victorian workers compensation claims. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to reduce liabilities and minimize the impact of workplace injury.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of workers compensation claims in accordance with state laws and policies to ensure injured employees receive their correct entitlements and are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
  • Facilitating quick resolution of claims through effective engagement between employees and the business.
  • Coordinating external service providers and gathering information from internal stakeholders to effectively manage claims.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong understanding of customer service and experience interfacing with customers in difficult situations.
  • 1-2 years of claims management experience, preferably in workers compensation.
  • A qualification or certification in a health or business-related field (highly desirable).
  • Basic understanding of workers compensation claim management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic information management systems.
