Compensation Claims Specialist

An Eligibility Officer will assess and decide on workers' compensation claims within a self-insured environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and evaluate workers' compensation claims for eligibility and validity
- Navigate complex legislation to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, including employees, management, and medical providers
- Balance empathy with accuracy when evaluating eligibility and outcomes
- Drive positive impact by supporting safe and fair return-to-work pathways
- Proven track record in workers' compensation or case management (2+ years)
- Solid understanding of workers' compensation and self-insurance frameworks
- Strong communicator with negotiation, relationship-building, and clear communication skills
- Detail-focused multitasker with problem-solving and analytical skills
- Compassionate professional who balances decision-making with empathy and care
