About This Opportunity

As a Claim Associate, you will deliver professional, customer-focused, and cost-effective workers compensation claims experiences through the early stages of a claim. You will assist our Eligibility function by processing new and non-complex claims, developing your knowledge and expertise to progress to more senior opportunities.

You will receive coaching and mentoring from an experienced Eligibility training specialist, providing you with the necessary skills to register claims and make initial liability decisions within legislated timeframes. Your responsibilities will include collecting information, making accurate and fair assessments, and determining whether claims can be accepted in accordance with legislation.

This position is ideal for individuals transitioning into an Eligibility role from within the Workers Compensation and personal injury industries or bringing transferable skillsets from previous experiences to the workers compensation field.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Participate in a 6-month Eligibility training program overseen by a dedicated training specialist
- Provide exceptional support and guidance to customers to ensure injured workers recover and make a safe and sustainable return to work
- Accurately identify different claim types, register new claims, and conduct phone contacts as required
- Engage actively in robust training to develop skills required to register claims and determine liability on all types of decisions

- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or industry-specific qualifications are highly desirable
