Compensation Specialist

This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team as a Compensation Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and deciding on workers' compensation claims within a self-insured environment
  • Navigating legislation to ensure compliance with all relevant workers' compensation laws and regulations
  • Collaborating effectively with stakeholders, including employees, management and medical providers
  • Striking the right balance between empathy and accuracy when evaluating eligibility and outcomes
  • Driving positive impact by supporting safe and fair return-to-work pathways
Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing effective processes to manage workers' compensation claims
  • Providing expert guidance and support to colleagues on workers' compensation matters
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to the development of innovative solutions
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, ensuring seamless compliance
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on key performance indicators
