
Flight Network Coordinator

Rex is Australia's largest regional and domestic airline, operating a fleet of aircraft to 62 destinations across the country.
The airline seeks a suitably qualified individual to join its Network Operations Team as a full-time Network Operations Controller at its Sydney Head Office in Mascot.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task and problem solve, and the capacity to work as part of a team in a challenging environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operation of the network, ensuring efficient flight schedules and timely delivery of passengers.
- Liaise with ports to provide accurate information on all flights, facilitating seamless travel experiences.
- Monitor flights for On Time Performance, identifying and addressing any delay reasons promptly.
- Coordinate disruptions with other Network Operations Centre personnel, minimizing delays to passengers.
- Develop and implement disruption plans to maintain network efficiency.
- Liaise with other departments and affected ports to minimize delays to passengers.
- Manage Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) slots, optimizing flight schedules to minimize delays.
- Coordinate all aircraft turnarounds in Sydney, including fuel ordering and bay allocation.
- In the event of an emergency, initiate the company response plan and carry out duties as requested by the Regional Express Emergency Response Team.
- Perform tasks directed by the Network Operations Manager and/or Operations Supervisors to support the day-to-day running of Network Operations.
- Ensure crew regulatory compliance, including flight and duty times, instrument, route, or port currency.
- Provide crew coverage in cases of sickness, disruptions, or training requirements.
- Manage crew paxing, accommodation, and meal requirements.
- Coordinate disruptions with other Network Operations Centre personnel.
- Develop and implement disruption plans.
- Liaise with Rostering and Crew Planning departments in cases of disrupted training and checks or further training requirements.
- Able to work professionally within a team environment.
- Able to work a varying shift roster without restriction.
- Problem-solving skills and capable of lateral thought.
- Ability to maintain efficiency under pressure.
- High level of organizational skills with ability to prioritize.
- Computer literacy of a high degree and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
