Network Operations Controller Job Opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified individual to join our Network Operations Team as a full-time Network Operations Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operation of the Rex network, ensuring seamless flight scheduling and execution.
  • Liaise with all ports to ensure timely and accurate flight information is communicated, maintaining optimal network efficiency.
  • Monitor all flights for On Time Performance (OTP), accurately recording and reporting delay reasons to inform data-driven decision making.
  • Monitor weather and NOTAMs that may impact operations, identifying risks and escalating or acting on them accordingly to minimize disruptions.
  • Coordinate network disruptions in collaboration with other Network Operations Centre personnel, formulating and actioning disruption plans to minimize passenger and operational impact.
  • Coordinate all aircraft turnarounds in Sydney, including bay allocation and fuel ordering, optimizing airport utilization.
  • In the event of an emergency, initiate the company response plan and support the Regional Express Emergency Response Team as directed.
  • Perform other operational duties as directed by the Network Operations Manager or Network Operations Supervisors, contributing to the success of the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Manage arrival slots through the Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) platform, minimizing network delays and optimizing air traffic flow.
  • Manage departure slots in Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) environments, ensuring smooth airport operations.

  • Ensure crew compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those prescribed in the Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS) and applicable enterprise agreements.
  • Manage crew coverage in the event of sickness, operational disruption, or additional training requirements, maintaining a healthy and efficient workforce.
  • Manage crew positioning (paxing), accommodation, and meal entitlements, providing a high level of care and support for our employees.
  • Work with Rostering and Crew Planning teams to address training disruptions or additional qualification requirements, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Support the management of crewing-related disruptions as part of an integrated Network Operations response, ensuring business continuity.
