Job Title: Residential Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced project manager to lead and deliver residential construction projects from inception to completion.

About the Role
  • Manage the full lifecycle of residential projects, including smart homes and renovations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations while promoting operational efficiency and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective project management strategies, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, to meet client expectations and company standards.
  2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to review and interpret plans, specifications, and proposals to determine the most effective and compliant construction methodologies for each project.
  3. Prepare competitive tender submissions and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost estimates and timelines.
  4. Manage the allocation and utilisation of labour, materials, and equipment across multiple concurrent sites, ensuring optimal workflow and productivity.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
  • Minimum five years of proven experience in project management, preferably within residential or architectural housing sectors.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, WHS legislation, and local council approval processes.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera) and construction management software (e.g. Revit) is highly regarded.
