About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef De Partie to join our culinary team at Holiday Inn Dandenong. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of a diverse range of meals, adhering to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
  • Oversee and manage kitchen stations to ensure efficient service.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other staff to maintain a smooth flow of service.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.
  • Work with the culinary team to achieve overall culinary goals.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Assist in the monitoring and controlling inventory.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure the freshness, taste, and appearance of food items.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient food delivery and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Formal qualifications and demonstrated experience working in a similar role in a busy restaurant or hotel.
  • Sound working knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and staff.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • A passion for food and a desire to continuously learn and develop new skills.
