Autism Inclusion Practitioner Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Autism Inclusion Practitioner.

We are seeking someone who can provide strategic interventions to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in education and clinical environments, working closely with Senior School Inclusion Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals, and Parents/ Carers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing one-to-one interventions to school-age individuals on the autism spectrum in school settings, tailored to meet their unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborating with schools and parents to deliver evidence-based, personalized strategies that support children with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Developing and implementing therapeutic resources and aides to facilitate progress and inclusion within school settings.
  • Working with parents and carers to establish SMART goals that align with the individual's NDIS plan, ensuring timely achievement of objectives.
  • Meeting caseload targets during school terms and holidays, while maintaining accurate records of client progress.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports detailing individual progress, SMART goal attainment, and recommendations for future support.
  • Supporting the delivery of training programs and tailored support packages as required, in consultation with the Business Unit Lead-School Services.

As an Autism Inclusion Practitioner, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing business development opportunities under the guidance of the Business Unit Lead-School Services. You will also maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing queries related to your role and referring complex issues to the Autism Engagement Advisor.
