Job Role Overview

The role of Technical Project Director is critical to the success of water and wastewater treatment projects. As a seasoned engineering leader, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence across various sectors.

About This Position

This key leadership role involves overseeing the design, commissioning, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to engineering teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Oversee the design, commissioning, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment systems to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety in design, promoting best practices and industry standards.
  • Engage with clients, technology suppliers, and delivery partners to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Support business development activities by providing engineering input into tenders, proposals, and feasibility assessments.
  • E nsure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and engineering standards to maintain a strong reputation.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering roles within the water or wastewater sector.
  • A strong background in process or chemical engineering, with exposure to membrane systems.
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineering or technical teams, with a track record of success.
  • Experience overseeing design, commissioning, and operational optimization of treatment plants or similar systems.
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, commercial teams, and external partners.
  • Chartered Engineer (CPEng) and/or RPEQ eligibility preferred.
