Job Title: Water Treatment Plant Operator
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to operate and maintain water treatment facilities, including pumps, motors, and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain water treatment facilities, including pumps, motors, and other equipment.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests, including chlorine residual tests and use judgment to set parameters for the water treatment process.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on tanks, pumps, plant generators, mixers, aerators, center contacts, air compressors, chlorination equipment; lime and other chemical feed equipment, grit removal systems, mechanical screens, sludge dewatering equipment, and other equipment used in booster plants and utility lift stations.

Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent as required by the regulatory body PLUS:
  • TPO CLASS A/Mechanic: Five years of documented hands-on experience working on-site in a water treatment facility PLUS two years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of industrial mechanical equipment.
  • TPO CLASS B/Mechanic: Three years of documented hands-on experience working on-site in a water treatment facility PLUS two years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of industrial mechanical equipment.
  • TPO CLASS C/Mechanic: One year of documented hands-on experience working on-site in a water treatment facility PLUS two years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of industrial mechanical equipment.
