About the Role

We are excited to offer an opportunity within a leading specialty homewares retailer, with over 300 stores nationwide.

This role is a key part of our People & Culture team, supporting various functions including HR, Payroll and Retail Operations.

As Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Coordinator, you will ensure an exceptional employee experience through activities such as candidate screening, onboarding, contract creation and induction support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the onboarding process to complete administrative tasks and comply with legal requirements
  • Conducting pre-employment checks for Health Declarations and Visas to ensure new employees meet fitness and immigration standards
  • Assisting in recruitment and coordinating interviews for retail management and casual roles
  • Issuing employment contracts, policies and other relevant documents
  • Addressing new employee queries and providing system support throughout the onboarding process

About You:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role or recent HR graduate/study background
  • A good working knowledge of Talent Acquisition and/or Human Resources practices, award interpretation and employment conditions
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and organization skills
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • The capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information
