Job Overview
We are seeking a Claims Recovery Manager to lead our Australia & New Zealand Claims Recovery team. As a key member of our recovery team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and ensuring timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recovery teams to ensure effective claims resolution
- Perform all functions of recovery on assigned files including initial file review, demands, arbitration, referrals to counsel, negotiation/settlements, and vendor and litigation management
- Maintain current knowledge of jurisdictions and changes in applicable laws that may affect recovery efforts
- Engage business stakeholders and provide effective communications on recovery key performance metrics and ad-hoc case updates as required
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and managing a recovery team
- Well-developed expertise and technical knowledge on higher value complex claims - particularly Property, Casualty, Financial Lines
- Thorough knowledge of Australia and New Zealand legal/regulatory and litigation/procedural requirements. Broader knowledge extending into Asia is an advantage
- Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and ADR skills on higher value complex claims
- Ability to contribute and collaborate effectively within a team environment and with internal/external stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
