Job Title: Principal Power Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Power Systems Engineer to lead our team in developing, contracting, and implementing natural gas and renewable energy generation projects. As an Owner's Engineer and/or Advisor, you will help our clients navigate the complex power generation market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams for power generation design projects, including supporting traditional Owner's Engineering roles.
  • Mentor young engineers, manage client relationships, and lead marketing activities such as proposal technical writing, fee builds, and work breakdown structure development in response to RFPs.
  • Contribute to power generation and distribution design, protection and motor control design, power system studies, and balance of plant designs (e.g., raceway, lighting, grounding).
  • Draft engineering design and equipment specifications; provide design and engineer of record work for power plant systems.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Project Controller on project reviews as needed and direct activities of other engineering professionals.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with an Electrical Power emphasis.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical power generation design.
  • Professional Engineers (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include PLS CAD, Auto CAD, Plant 3 D, Auto Pipe, Revit).
