Job Title:

Protection and Relaying Project Specialist

About the Position:

We seek a highly skilled Protection and Relaying Project Specialist to perform engineering tasks with varying complexity, including protective relay calculations, coordination studies, and development of relay setting files.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct protective relay calculations and determine appropriate relay set points.
  • Perform protective relay coordination studies using short circuit modeling software.
  • Develop relay setting files utilizing relay vendor software.
  • Produce relay coordination compliance reports for applicable NERC-PRC standards.
  • Provide support for protective relay construction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical power system analysis, protective device application, and relay settings.
  • Familiarity with power system analysis software, such as CAPE, Aspen, and ETAP.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
