Electrical Power System Protection Specialist

Protective relay engineers play a crucial role in maintaining the stability of electrical power systems. As a Protection and Relaying Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing system protection and relay settings to ensure safe and efficient operation.
This involves performing protective relay calculations, determining appropriate relay set points, and developing relay setting files utilizing relay vendor software. You will also work closely with other substation design disciplines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform complex protective relay calculations and determine relay set points.
- Develop and maintain relay setting files using specialized software.
- Coordinate with other substation design disciplines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical power system analysis, electrical system planning, protective device application, and relay settings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with power system analysis software: CAPE, Aspen, ETAP.
