The Role
As a Technical Claims Specialist at Gallagher, you will provide specialist technical oversight and knowledge to your claims team. You will be the primary specialist for technical knowledge, using your unique skillset to coach and mentor claims staff on technical claims matters. You will review and endorse sustainable claims decisions, liaise with legal parties, and provide technical reviews to complex claims management strategies.
Your Responsibilities
- Apply your specialist Workers Compensation technical knowledge to claims of a complex nature and act as a technical reference point for other team members.
- Guide and advise employer clients who require specialist technical assistance.
- Interact with and provide instructions to Legal Panel Firms within required timeframes.
- Provide employers and other involved parties with updates in relation to litigated matters.
- Undertake adverse decision quality revisions and endorsements.
- Complete case conferencing with Case Managers and attend claims review meetings when required.
- Mentor and coach other members of your team.
Requirements
- Experience within the Worker's Compensation industry and application of Work Cover legislation.
- Able to interpret and apply Accident Compensation Act.
- Fantastic customer service skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor of Law Degree and/or Industry Related Qualifications are ideal.
