Job Title: Underwriting Manager, Casualty Brooklyn

AXA XL is seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead our Casualty Underwriting team in Brooklyn. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of underwriting operations, including portfolio profitability, account pricing, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute underwriting strategies to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
  • Manage a team of underwriters and assistant underwriters to ensure timely and accurate underwriting decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to determine appropriate reinsurance for risk placements.
  • Lead and develop a team of underwriters and assistant underwriters to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or insurance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on casualty insurance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry trends and developments, with a focus on casualty insurance.
