Job Title: Underwriting Manager, Casualty Brooklyn

AXA XL is seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead our Casualty Underwriting team in Brooklyn. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of underwriting operations, including portfolio profitability, account pricing, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute underwriting strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage a team of underwriters and assistant underwriters to ensure timely and accurate processing of underwriting submissions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to determine appropriate reinsurance for risk placements.
  • Lead and develop a team of underwriters and assistant underwriters to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and AXA XL's underwriting guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as insurance or business.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on casualty insurance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of underwriting systems and software.
