Job Title: Theatre Booking Coordinator

This role supports a high-performing admissions service by ensuring the overall integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all patient admissions and theatre bookings. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking validation and quality control of all theatre bookings and liaising with theatre regarding theatre lists.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate theatre bookings and related activities to ensure smooth admission processes.
  2. Print and distribute daily theatre lists and reports as required. Ensure these are accurate and up-to-date.
  3. Process surgical bookings in Webpas from theatre lists received via doctors' rooms.
  4. Follow up missing consents day prior to admission to prevent delays in the admissions process.
  5. Monitor 'inbox' and file theatre lists accordingly to maintain accurate records.
  6. Facilitate all aspects of bookings cancellations and rescheduling and inform preadmissions clerical team of any changes.
  7. Assist with conducting routine quality audits to identify areas for improvement.
  8. Liaise with patients, doctor's rooms, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  9. Act as a role model, facilitating a spirit of teamwork and collegial support, ensuring a high level of patient centricity.
  10. Support team members, sharing knowledge in an open and supportive manner for the benefit and knowledge development of all members of the team.
