Theatre Booking Administration Role

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the Theatre Booking Administration role. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating theatre bookings, managing administrative duties related to operating theatres, and providing exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and theatre staff.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Coordination of theatre bookings for private and public patients, elective and emergency;
  • Communication with Surgeons and Theatre staff;
  • Wait listing of all public elective surgical patients;
  • Data entry of theatre utilisation;
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and improvement in customer service for all customers;
  • Respond to telephone, email and face-to-face queries from doctors, customers and ward areas.

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and advanced computer and typing abilities. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage conflicting priorities.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite;
  • Ability to maintain data entry accuracy;
  • Ability to work above contracted hours for annual or sick leave cover;
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
  • Proven ability to work in a customer service-focused environment;
  • Familiarity with medical terminology;
  • Ability to follow written instructions as directed.
