Cummins Inc. is a leading manufacturer of diesel engines and related components, and we are seeking a skilled Engine Field Service Technician - Diesel Repair Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced field service technician with intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products to provide technical support and repair services to our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance and basic repairs on engines and related components at customer sites with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner to ensure prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
  • Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot complex problems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest technologies and advancements in the industry through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field (such as mechanical engineering, automotive technology, etc.).
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products (diesel engines, fuel systems, driveline, aftertreatment, controls, sensors, etc.).
  • Basic level field service work experience, preferably in a similar role within the industry.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on location and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
