About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity for an emerging communication or marketing professional to gain valuable knowledge and experience in the Higher Education sector.

As a Media, Marketing and Communication Intern at RMIT University, you will be working with a dynamic team that is passionate about creating original content and promoting the Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across various media channels;
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging content for social media, including writing, designing, and publishing posts;
  • Support the coordination of events and activities to promote the ATN and its member universities;
  • Collaborate with the team to analyze data and assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including students, academics, and industry partners.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Communication or a related field, preferably in your final year of study;
  • Demonstrated strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise written material;
  • Creative and solution-focused mindset, with a passion for developing innovative marketing campaigns;
  • Knowledge of different media channels and the ability to use various platforms, including social media and Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels;
  • An ideas person and an enthusiastic self-starter, with a determination to learn and grow in the role.
What We Offer

As a Media, Marketing and Communication Intern at RMIT University, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and initiatives that promote the ATN and its member universities.

We offer a competitive salary package, with a base salary of $65,000 per annum, plus 17% superannuation. The salary range is from $63,000 to $68,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
