Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Emergency and Speciality Care team, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement best practice processes for the department, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Communicate effectively with the team, promoting a positive work environment and fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Work closely with the Business Manager and other department heads to develop growth strategies and achieve financial targets.
  • Support the recruitment and development of team members, providing feedback and coaching to ensure their success and growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in the department.
Requirements
  • Hold a veterinary degree available for registration in New South Wales.
  • Minimum of 5+ years working in a 24/7 Emergency and Speciality Care hospital.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, with a strong focus on patient care and outcomes.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
