Legal Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated legal assistant to support our busy Wills and Estates practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance on all estate related matters including preparation of wills and estate planning documents, simple and complex estate administration, will disputes and contested estate family provision applications.

The role involves:

  • Liaising with clients and third parties
  • Managing diaries and schedules
  • General day-to-day file management
  • Drafting estate planning and estate administration documents and correspondence
  • Witnessing wills and other estate planning documents
  • Providing general secretarial and administrative support
Requirements and Attributes
  • A friendly, positive and empathetic attitude
  • Well presented with a good work ethic
  • Strong administrative skills including fast and accurate typing
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Previous experience working in a legal or professional office environment (preferred)
  • Experience with LEAP and PEXA (preferred but not essential)
